Yuletide Cheer: Halifax Crafters Society Winter Market

One of the best darn craft shows in the city is back for it's 6th annual winter market. With over 80 crafters offering everything from jewelery to paper crafts to plush to pottery, the Olympic Centre will be full of Yuletide Cheer.

The show is from 11am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday. There'll be lots of great gift ideas at every table and food vendors selling lunch and cupcakes and coffee.

The Halifax Crafters are a group of several dozen artists who enjoy making things by hand and who have a unique vision to share. Volunteers have been putting on seasonal handmade markets since 2005 as part of Halifax Crafters' mandate to encourage new artists and local artmaking. Shows are juried every time creating a unique place for established artists and university instructors to gather with emerging artists and students to show inspiring new projects.z
